Customer service, how’s yours?This week I have dealt with some issues where I needed customer support, one was done through a high profile site with a full complement of staff on a help desk, the other was dealt with by a small online business owner, who answers his own support requests.

Which customer support issue do you think was handled the best?

Yep, the personal touch from the small business guy was to the point, helpful, and all my questions and issues were sorted swiftly, with a bit of personality thrown in.

In the case of the high profile site, one of their support staff must have half read my original complaint and sent a form reply to cover what they read. If they had read all of it, then they would have realised that the answer they gave was part of what I’d done, and pointed out in my original support request. On the second try, the same answer was given, to follow a series of steps, which for the second time I had re-iterated that was what I had done, but the problem had still arisen. Result I gave up on them.

The small business guy was actually sorting out the problem created by the big name super site, which they had failed to address, it took one email for him to see what had happened, and help me to put it right. He also pointed out that I wasn’t the only one with that issue, and nobody ever got a resolution through the big sites support staff.

I won’t name the big site, but they just asked me to complete their customer support satisfaction survey, and it was far from glowing with praise for their staff, and help system. As for the small site, it was The Unselfish Marketers Vault and The owner JayKay who offered his help. I have recommended this site before, and now my recommendation is even stronger, JayKay and The Vault rock, and it is the ONLY membership site you need for resale rights and even PLR products. It is the only site I am still paying monthly fees to.

Affiliate Project X Just Another Waste Of Virtual Paper?

Affiliate Project X was launched right in the middle of two of the years biggest launches, and got a little lost in among them. When I first saw ads for it, I immediately remembered all the other affiliate training ebooks I have clogging my hard drive, and dismissed it. A few ads later, and I actually went to the Affiliate Project X site, a bit nonplussed by the sales page I moved on without buying.

Well I can’t remember how many times I was “tricked” into going back to the sales page for Affiliate Project X (APX) by marketers using link cloakers, changing the ads, and other sales methods, but return I did. Several times still without buying, I mean we’ve all seen these ebooks, and they are just the same rehashed cr*p telling us not quite enough to make us dangerous to the writer. I’d guess you like me have a hard drive full of this digital detritus, and I didn’t need another waste of 50 virtual sheets of paper for $77.

I recall looking deeper at the sales page after someone pointed out the techniques used (another marketing method we have become almost immune to, but it does pique the interest to take a look again right?) to sell Affiliate Project X. Yep the usual suspects, bullet points, build a picture of the problem affiliate marketers face, make it seem worse, add in power words, and the old faithful “Secrets They Don’t Want You To Know”. Come on this page even has a bloody “buy now before the price increases” pressure sell. Although I have to admit, at the time the lowest price was $77, and it did rise to $97, and I do expect it’ll hit the $197 one day. But still I didn’t buy.

I looked at the other ebooks I had on affiliate marketing, yep should be in the digital dustbin, waste of virtual paper, so why spend the money on Affiliate Project X right?

But I saw more and more reviews from people who bought it, and they liked it. So I went to look for the guarantee, hey if I was buying some more digital tripe, this time I was going to use the money back guarantee. And there it was, Chris promises you will make money within 30 days using the methods in Affiliate Project X but gives you 8 weeks to ask for your money back. Me I was buying, and for the first time I was willing to give these gurus the bullet, and ask for my money back when it didn’t contain anything new.

I’d heard it was only fifty pages, so that wasn’t a shock. I started reading, and the first few pages were the usual “What is an affiliate program?” “How do you make money as an affiliate?” B O R I N G let’s get ready to get our money back pronto, just read a little more. Adwords blah blah BLAH. Chris, get ready to login to Clickbank and return my money. But I didn’t get my money back, wanna know why?

Chris is one low down dirty son of a bitch.

Affiliate Project X is all it claims to be. Once I got a little further into the Adwords section, I can’t in good faith ask for my money back. But don’t think well of Chris yet, there are other reasons to call Chris a low down dirty son of a bitch, especially if you are one of the “Super Affiliates” whose secrets he is revealing, and whose livelihoods he is threatening. APX contains some methods which you may think are a bit underhand, like copying other successful affiliates, but how to do it right. Other low down tricks include “spying”, “annihilating the competition” and much more. Although the techniques sound like they will get you condemned to prison, or if not then the deepest pits of hell come judgement day, but they are all legal, above board, and above all profitable methods used by successful affilate marketers daily. They are going to call Chris a lot worse names.

But Affiliate Project X is only 50 (fifty) pages, some might say, but for me that turned out to be a bonus. Like you, I don’t have a lot of time, as I am still working full time, so fifty pages isn’t a lot to read. Here’s the kicker though, those 50 pages are packed with information (at least after the first few “what is an affiliate program style introductory pages). Not that filler rubbish from the other books we have bought, genuine info. I can’t see too many superfluous words in Affiliate Project X, except maybe the first page or so, of explanations of affiliate marketing, if you didn’t know about affiliate marketing, you wouldn’t know you wanted APX anyway right?

So back to the question this poses, Affiliate Project X Just Another Waste Of Virtual Paper?

Sorry to say it, but no. Affiliate Project X is an informative, step by step guide to actually making money as an affiliate marketer. Even at the current price of $97 I would buy Affiliate Project X knowing what I now know about the information it contains.
